Kate Adkins
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW

I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my Bachelor of Social Work and from Spring Arbor University with my Master of Social Work. I have a background in pregnancy and adoption, parenting programs, aiding low-income children and families with resources, forensic interviewing and child advocacy, individual therapy services for children 7-18, and special education school social work in an elementary school.

I work with clients (primarily children/adolescents) who have trauma backgrounds, anxiety and depression, and disabilities and/or chronic pain. I am a Christian and can offer faith-based insight, though I am welcoming of clients from all backgrounds. I offer approaches from strengths-based and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to not dominate sessions, but partner with you in finding solutions that are individualized for you through empowerment.
