Kendall Bowen
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW
Hello, and thank you for being here! Taking the first step towards pursuing therapy can be a daunting and scary task, however, it is also a courageous decision that opens the door to personal growth and self-discovery.
As a therapist, I am committed to creating a safe, judgment-free, space where my clients are able to express a true, authentic version of themselves. My approach to therapy involves an eclectic approach, tailoring sessions and interventions to the unique needs of my clients.
I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), crisis interventions, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing, fostering a strengths-based approach in working with my clients. I have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, and I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, mood disorders, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those struggling with life transitions.
I have obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, along with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Women and Gender Studies from Oakland University. I am dedicated to continuing my education, staying current with the latest advancements in the field of mental health.
I believe in the power of collaboration and resiliency with the aim to assist you in developing a toolbox of practical coping strategies to overcome any obstacles that you might face. Together, we will tap into your strengths, build resiliency, and work towards change that is meaningful and important to you. I look forward to walking on this journey with you!
