Margaret McCall
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and recently returned to begin my career as a clinical social worker. I previously worked as a Director of Audience Services for several large not-for-profit theaters in Chicago, where I developed my interest in working closely with individuals and groups. In my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking, and spending time with my dogs.
I approach work with each Client from a non-hierarchical perspective: I learn with and through my Clients how best to assist them in reaching their goals.
My approach is eclectic and includes:
-
ï‚· Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
ï‚· Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
ï‚· Narrative Therapy
-
ï‚· Support and community building
-
ï‚· Strengths identification and leveraging
-
ï‚· Pattern recognition
-
ï‚· Resource identification
-

While I initially trained as a group therapist, I also enjoy working with individuals. I specialize in working with Clients who are:
-
ï‚· Navigating anxiety and/or depression
-
ï‚· Experiencing a life transition
-
ï‚· Coping with burnout
-
ï‚· Grieving
-
ï‚· Caregiving for a loved one
-
ï‚· Interested in addressing patterns of people-pleasing and/or codependency
