Margaret McCall

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LLMSW

LLMSW MargaretMcCall 2.jpg

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and recently returned to begin my career as a clinical social worker. I previously worked as a Director of Audience Services for several large not-for-profit theaters in Chicago, where I developed my interest in working closely with individuals and groups. In my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking, and spending time with my dogs.

I approach work with each Client from a non-hierarchical perspective: I learn with and through my Clients how best to assist them in reaching their goals.

My approach is eclectic and includes:

  • ï‚· Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • ï‚· Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • ï‚· Narrative Therapy

  • ï‚· Support and community building

  • ï‚· Strengths identification and leveraging

  • ï‚· Pattern recognition

  • ï‚· Resource identification

  •

While I initially trained as a group therapist, I also enjoy working with individuals. I specialize in working with Clients who are:

  • ï‚· Navigating anxiety and/or depression

  • ï‚· Experiencing a life transition

  • ï‚· Coping with burnout

  • ï‚· Grieving

  • ï‚· Caregiving for a loved one

  • ï‚· Interested in addressing patterns of people-pleasing and/or codependency

Margaret M. is available for virtual and in person appointments at our Warren Office.
